On Dec. 30, 2014 Jim Harbaugh was introduced as UM’s next head football coach. In that press conference, Harbaugh, when asked if he could return Michigan Football to greatness, simply said “I cannot fail.” We dared to dream that day. Last night, it came true. He did not fail.

Yesterday I wore the #3 @marlinj28 never-actually-an-on-field maize jersey. It’s my official spring game jersey since the only other game I’ve really worn it was that maize out against Florida. And let’s be honest, it’s also why the maize team ate steak last night. #GoBlue

As for “Redskins,” I mean, it’s literally a derogatory term for an entire culture. The team name itself is a rebrand of the “Boston Braves” before their relocation to the capital. As a boy in the 80s, I grew up entrenched with NFL branding, & I just admit, I have a confession

As a branding/logo/illustration professional, I’ve had my fair share of people asking what I think about pro teams rebranding because of tribal sensitivity issues. It’s a complex question that deserves complex answers. I’ll try and sum up a few ideas in as few posts as possible:
