Here are Web3 games you should have on your radar and why they matter for the space. /1 @playcambria They’ve built the best gameplay loop for different Web3 gamer cohorts. If you want to study player behaviors, watch them. Follow @cyberpunk for the best retrospectives on their process. They’re a degen native team that makes fun games that still satisfy traditional gamers. /2 @playoffthegrid Live on mainnet online. They’ve brought in a solid flow of Web2 players. They’re showing how Web2 audiences react when everything is abstracted away. Their game has to stand on its own without leaning on crypto mechanics. They’re a great signal for Web2 adoption potential. Their journey shows how even with great fundamentals, success isn’t guaranteed. To note, look at @playSUPERVIVE a Web2 game with no crypto that’s still struggling for growth. It proves that even great games face uphill battles in today’s crowded markets. /3 @ThousandsTV Disclaimer: I recently worked with them. They’re using prediction markets and sweepstakes for live content interactivity. They’re generating real revenue with a sustainable model. Their platform gamifies live entertainment in a fun and novel way. I tried it and wanted to spend money predicting outcomes that’s a strong signal. /4 @MaplestoryU They’re launching with a very different tokenomics structure than others. They’re betting big by putting their largest IP on blockchain rails. Same with @EVE_Frontier. These teams believe blockchain solves a core problem they’ve faced for years. Their approach matters for the long-term view of free-to-play blockchain games. /5 @playgigaverse They’re building in public with constant updates like a live service studio. They’re a small team but have some of the strongest founder marketing in the space. @0xDith has earned a cult-like following with his authenticity and transparency. Whatever he shares, people follow. /6 @AbstractChain It’s becoming the go-to ecosystem for risk, gambling, and speculative games. @visitsugartown, @onchainheroes, and others are doubling down on that niche. Abstract feels like the “Kick” of Web3 chains a streaming platform for high-risk fun. There’s clearly a market for this type of experience. /7 @OhBabyGames Oh Baby Games as a whole deserves attention. @passytee has been building with conviction long before the hype cycles. They’ve built a solid game product with real transactions happening. Crypto is the backend rail, not the selling point. Their peer-to-peer marketplace is live and generating revenue. They’ve succeeded by focusing on fun first and crypto second. /8 @TheBornlessGame They’ve had success with a traditional Web2 publishing model via Steam. They’re showing how Web2-native teams can stay Web3 friendly without leaning on tokens. Use them as a model for effective publishing while keeping doors open to Web3. Their approach is worth studying and possibly copying. /9 @raijin_games is one more to watch for game discovery. They’ve helped games hit Steam’s “Popular Upcoming” charts. That’s valuable on a saturated platform where visibility is scarce. But be cautious, Steam’s algorithm is opaque and unpredictable. Early signals are promising, but long-term impacts are unknown. /10 @project_o_gg They’re using open licensed IP to build a fun, addictive mobile TCG. They’re designing a meta around collection NFTs tied to the core game. This mirrors what made Pokémon powerful a game plus a collectible economy. Kevin Lambert has made a fantastic game with real collector-driven appeal. Tim’s vision for collection-based value is smart and rooted in lifelong collecting. Their approach blends gameplay, collection, and downstream revenue opportunities. /11 @sportfun They’re blending prediction markets with a crypto twist on fantasy sports. Their approach feels similar to ThousandsTV but with fantasy sports interactivity. They’re focused on fútbol with live gameplay integrations. I just spoke with the team and they’re building something unique. They’re crypto-native and understand both fantasy players and prediction market users. It’s a creative take on interactive, crypto-powered sports entertainment. /12 Mobile Disruption Epic’s win over Apple is a game changer, I’m betting on a few mobile focused teams for hyper growth. @ParallelTCG's team is top of the list across Parallel Colony and Parallel TCG Mobile. They’re crypto-native and know how to use every advantage that opens up. @AIWayfinder, $PROMPT, the whole ecosystem is positioned for the next wave. Epic’s win means new payment rails on mobile, removing the Apple tax. That unlocks real upside for crypto-native mobile games. Other teams I’m betting on: @fableborne, @InfiniGods, and @PirateNation. These teams deeply understand free-to-play and live service mobile economies. Their revenue potential just jumped with lower platform taxes. I’ll close with this: Web3 gaming won’t move at meme token or AI speeds. That doesn’t mean people aren’t building or innovating. Games release on staggered timelines, with fewer but higher stakes launches. It is a hit driven business. Each feels like a huge impact on the space, but games take time, effort, and iteration. Everyone says 90% of businesses fail but don't like when it comes to reality. These teams are aiming for quality, not quantity, with unique paths to success. That’s what excites me about what’s coming next.
