“Southend are the biggest club in the National League and deserve to be a league club. I’m really excited to get started and hopefully get this club into the Football League, where it belongs.” This is a key takeaway from this interview. Our feeling sorry for ourselves era is over. Fine lines between confidence and arrogance obviously but would absolutely love to see us develop a little bit of a chip on our shoulder this season that we are too big for this league.
