I'm actually kinda surprised at how hard it is to find LGBT archery chats/interest groups online. Like, I know it's a niche sport, but surely there'd be something out there?

@WhiteFoxEffect Also, most clubs start you off with recurve when you do their come and try sessions or beginners courses.

@WhiteFoxEffect Its all part of the plan. I had no interest in compound and wanted the extra challenge. Plus it'll be good for helping me build a little bit of upper body strength.

@Zxssics Thanks! Very very light as I'm mostly sedentary and weak as piss. I got 24# limbs which I was using during my beginner course, but when doing my first lot of SPTs I could barely hold it at full draw for 30secs. I've got a set of 18# on the way to use to build up back strength.

Can't tell ya how much I LOVE having to show up at work 6 hours earlier than all my other shifts this week for a first aid course cos they're too lazy to organise a later session for the half of their staff thay work in the afternoons.

Well... I WAS excited for @DuneAwakening until they said it was a third person shooter. -.-

Final score: 6 hours wait for a tow, and -1 tyre. Great day.

This cunt has so far cost me 5 hours waiting for a tow truck (still waiting btw), potentially $400 for a replacement tyre and maybe even my pay docked if I dont make it to work on time tonight. 👍

@TheDogsBreakky I havent been shooting in a very long time but it's all been a part of my life since I was about 15. I'm not the best shot but I'm a half decent teacher so if you ever need help I can share what I know. But I imagine coaches know better.

@silvixenart I looked up the phoenix and it looks beautiful 😍 If the people at my local are welcoming enough I'm thinking of getting into recurve. I need a hobby that gets me off the computer and out of the house.
