Ted Hurst, not to be confused with Fred Durst, didn’t garner much recruiting attention out of high school, before he found a home at Georgia State. Hurst, who excelled in basketball during high school, thrived on Georgia State, leading the team in receptions, receiving yards and TDs in both of his two seasons. In his first season at Georgia, Hurst had 961 yards and broke the program record for single season TDs. Hurst’s counting stats improved again in ‘25, logging 1,000 receiving yards and 71 receptions. Hurst is intriguing for a number of reasons, possessing the speed to win at all three levels whilst he has strong footwork as a route runner. Hurst has body control too, showing ability to adjust and recover. Hurst’s success came against comparatively weaker competition – he was fairly anonymous against some of the bigger programs, take Ole Miss as an example. Drop issues lingered throughout his college career, whilst Hurst often treated run blocking as not part of his job description. In the right offensive system, Hurst could see playing time this season due to his size, ability to get off the line fast, route feel and athletic ability.

I Don’t Watch Film (Football Analytics)
Film analysts will be like "tape don't lie" then tell you they've watched 4 out of 60 games for a prospect

9 minutes on Nebraska RB Emmett Johnson 🔴🔴 The underlying metrics show one of the best tackle breakers in this class - which has drawn comparisons to Bucky Irving and Kyren Williams did we see that? youtu.be/mw_RzLAD41I

@FFDynastyDog @StartSitEmFF I have him at the 1.06 at the moment, wouldn’t argue if you wanted to take him over KCC, but I would have a hard time taking a career fantasy QB2 over Love and the receivers

Why is it outlandish to suggest Carnell Tate, Makai Lemon and Jordyn Tyson should be drafted ahead of Fernando Mendoza in Dynasty rookie drafts when a year ago y’all drafted a cornerback before Cam Ward?

@TheFFOffice @StartSitEmFF For sure. Lot of reasons why I see similarities. - Size & speed - Play style - Meager scrimmage production - Likely to make initial impact on special teams Keep an eye on landing spot as a last rd rookie draft sleeper… …If he ends up on the Chiefs 👀

Winding down my #NFLDraft prospect research I came across Zavion Thomas. Lacked production at LSU but profile is enticing 5’10 190 & ran 4.28 at combine Might be Tavon Austin. But kinda reminds me of Tyreek Hill, who also underwhelmed in college statbook

Cornerbacks tomorrow, Safeties on Thursday. Offensive line over the weekend, then I'll be posting some big board stuff and other things, putting in some positional rankings again just to keep it out there.

In 2024 Fernando Mendoza took 40 sacks with a 16:6 TD to INT ratio In 2025 he put up the exact same/worse numbers Indiana's Round 7 QB put up the year before while playing on a torn ACL
