in 2023, i made the decision to become a spaces host. i can confidently say it was one of my better choices in life (crazy lol) not only was it my breakthrough in this space, but it's also unlocked one of the most insane networks and connections of founders, builders and creators in my life and for that i'm grateful. [one of them being @LucaNetz , founder of Pudgy Penguins] honestly speaking, there's probably only <10 spaces hosts in CT that do a really great job at what they do. a lot of it comes from their own style of hosting, how they speak, what type of topics do they cover, which audience do they attract, etc. the rest i find to be extremely invaluable and kinda just host spaces for the sake of attention and larping. these are the ones you want to avoid (imo). if i can share game to anyone that is or wants to host spaces, it'd be this: • ALWAYS prioritize the conversation first, then your guests. • have moments of fun chatter mixed with deep-dive insights. • give the mic to the person that has something to share, not just yap. • a small panel of great speakers > a large panel of whole-lotta-nothing • don't worry about sponsors in the beginning, that comes over time. • always give love to your audience, w/o them, your spaces ain't sh*t. • doesn't matter if there's 10 or 100+ ppl in the room, do your job right. i can probably think a whole lot more, but this is what i got for now.

"what is world building?"
