I’m a person who used host tree-climbing birthday parties for neighborhood children. As a boy, I played Tarzan in the forests near my hometown. I explored Western Europe by bicycle and the canyons of Spain with ropes tied around my waist. I pondered and philosophized. I read a ton of books, but I was searching for something else, a feeling. It’s always been there, and it will show us the way if we let it. Yet we have been indoctrinated into believing that we have to solve our problems through our thoughts, through the induction and scrutiny of questions and answers, of ideas, when all we really have to do is listen to what nature is telling us. To what our true nature is telling us.

Key focus today will obviously be Newbury, but the biggest race of the day comes at Ayr with the Scottish Grand National. I always like to put a bit of focus into this race so that I can complete a clean sweep of all the Grand Nationals from the UK and Ireland. My expectation is not to get much, but to get a bit more than I would from an ordinary race.
