Wild, but true. When the actors playing Craig & Eric first met on the set of “Pool Shark” in January 2004, Craig was 13 years old, & Eric was 27. More than double his age! Scott Halberstadt, the actor playing Eric, turns 50 later this year. That almost doesn’t seem real.

In #iCarly - iGoodbye, Meekalito was played by Dan himself. That wasn't necessarily the original plan: initially, a casting call was issued (see post below), which shows that they had different options in mind for the character.

Alexa Nikolas auditioned for the role of Megan on Drake & Josh. She screen tested & was one of the few finalists alongside Miranda Cosgrove. Ironically, Dan Schneider ended up casting her in Zoey 101 as Nicole — roughly a year or so after she auditioned for the D&J pilot.

Here’s the story of how Zoey 101 accidentally casted a ‘violin player’ with an actor who didn’t play the violin. Production had to go to Walmart & buy one while he was in hair & makeup… When this actor showed up to set, they asked him how long he had been playing the violin.

As far as I can tell, Dan wrote 90% of stuff whether his name is on it or not. And I know he likely spent most weekends of his life doing so, on planes, in car rides, & even while shooting on stage. But important to remember plenty of other writers pitched GREAT ideas.
