Prefer to read a pitch deck that is less than 10 slides (feel free to go upto 15 provided you are adding self explanatory media) Remember the goal is to create a deck that an investor will go through, understand the crux and want to reach out to understand the company and founder further

6. Things that u should not be doing - - use AI generated text beyond a point. we want a human to pitch to us not AI. - use too many design elements in your pitch deck - use complicated templates and fonts (I personally prefer white and black- easy to read) - creates distraction for an investor. - TAM, SAM, SOM don't need an entire slide - they can be a passing statement - The math of capturing a small % of a large SOM doesn't really work.

We paid INR 35,000 for a sub-par investor pitch deck during my founder's office days. Fast forward to today and moving to the investor side, I now understand what really gets investors excited and want to do that introductory call/meet with a founder.
