Fabulous evening last night at the #ShineDome24 gala dinner celebrating 70 years of science excellence for @Science_Academy.

This week, I had the opportunity to interview Prof Eric Warrant. Eric is a new Academy Corresponding Fellow and an authority on dim-light vision and navigation. I left with a new appreciation for the Bogong moth's long-distance navigation and an excellent kanelbullar recipe.

At Parliament House today for the launch of #ScienceWeek

Some great speeches at the #ScienceWeek launch event this morning—promoting participation and collaboration in science and speaking to themes of intertwining knowledge systems and building a common language in science.

Working on some art for a new scicomm project and realised that I'd drawn this mouse looking deeply traumatised. I'm now really tempted to keep him.

@canberratheatre @QPAC A beautiful example of what can be achieved when artists and the tech community collaborate and support one another.

Last Friday night, I saw Lucie in the Sky – an incredible performance from the Australasian Dance Collective featuring drones alongside human dancers – and couldn’t sleep that night before finishing this drawing inspired by the work.

I've finally been able to submit a paper from my PhD! I spent 3 years conducting field experiments (yes, through the pandemic) and the final year processing the samples that I had collected. It feels like a huge accomplishment to get this first manuscript in! #phdlife
