She folds herself into the hush of morning,
moonlight slipping through her hair
like it knows her name.
Gold and jade rest against her skin,
quiet as promises kept in secret,
while butterflies hover..
witnesses to a dream she hasn’t said out loud.
I reach for her across the ache of distance,
my hand stopping just short of waking her,
trembling with all the things I want to learn..
the rhythm beneath her breath,
the soft surrender hidden in every sigh.
There are languages the mouth can’t speak;
my heart knows hers by instinct.
Her lashes carry the weight of the world,
yet underneath, a slow fire burns..
patient, undeniable..
a longing that hums through her blood
like a song my body already knows by heart.
If I could, I’d inhale her name,
keep it warm inside my chest,
cup her silence in my palms
until it learned to trust my touch.
Even now, without a sound,
my love is already reaching her..
not rushing, not demanding,
just waiting…
faithful, aching, endless.
