⚡ JUST IN: @ton_blockchain is getting sub-second block finality with the Catchain 2.0 consensus upgrade, set to activate on mainnet in early April 2026. Block intervals drop from ~2.5s to 200–400ms. Finalization time goes from ~10s to under 1 second. Throughput increases to up to 5 blocks per second. Testnet is already running at the new speed. @mytonwallet_io and tonscan.org have switched to TON Center Streaming API v2 and nearly halved their response times ahead of the mainnet launch. TON Foundation published a step-by-step adoption guide covering wallets, dApps, self-hosted nodes, and indexers. Key action items: migrate to Streaming API v2, handle new block statuses (pending → confirmed → finalized → trace_invalidated), and stress-test indexers for up to 10x more blocks per second. 🚨 JUST IN: The official TOLK lang channel reveals a full development toolchain for @ton_blockchain - set to launch in early May. The new toolchain will replace the current fragmented dev stack with a single unified system built around Tolk. It includes native test runner (50x faster than JS sandbox), a production-grade debugger, transaction flow visualization, gas profiling, code coverage, and built-in MCP support for AI agents. The announcement was originally planned for TON Gateway, which has since been cancelled.
