🧵 It's been one month since I lost sweet little Benz. I'd like to share some pictures of him. He was a precious, loving, gentle little guy who will never be forgotten. Beamer and I still miss him terribly.

I always have mixed feelings when the WHO posts about Long Covid. It's great they're acknowledging it. Really, it is. But why did they persistently lie that Covid was not airborne? And why are they not talking about preventing infection now?

Governments want to pretend they’re advocates. Their policies continue to harm people. BC Govt participated in #LongCovidAwarenessDay. They continue to ignore, whilst they silence HC workers, shut down FOI, and publish their PHO as a victim. Pay attention! #FalseAdvertising

Daycares are getting wiped out with “pink eye” and everyone’s acting like it’s nothing. We are years into this pandemic and people still don’t realize this can be Covid. Kids showing up contagious like it’s no big deal. Meanwhile I’ve lost part of my vision from this. I’m not overreacting. Why are we still doing this?!

Of all of the soul-crushing couple of weeks I have experienced in the last six years, all of the abandonment, lies, character defamation, betrayal, gaslighting, and cruelty, this last two weeks have been the worst. By far. After all the warnings, educating, sharing patient stories, (and mine,) that I have used my scarce energy to do, yesterday, after a sharp reminder that I simply do not matter to some, I started to think, "What's the point anymore?" And then, today, I saw this short, stark, absolutely heartbreaking thread. THIS is the point. Thank you @Feelin_theBern for sharing. I will keep trying because of this thread. You made a difference.

Not known yet if this variant is more infectious or how it will affect ppl, but I see the clapping seals are out in abundance trying to assure you to keep marching. This variant has over 70 spike mutations, no one’s vaccinated for it, few have immunity thru infection. #WearAMask

The collapse and the rise of this deadly disease hinges on repeatedly infecting Children& Young People with a virus causing immune dysfunction. In UK, COVID vaccination for CYP was limited/restricted, based on the "myth of mild" in children.

The outpatients letter says "we recommend you wear a facemask in the hospital" - saw maybe five other patients wearing masks today, zero staff

“They’re out living life, so must be fine.” Bizarre logic. People carry on with work, holidays & socialising all the time while dealing with health issues, most of which you’ll never see or hear about. Not all post-COVID damage is visible, nor is it limited to being bedridden.

It’s a lot of work to maintain the denial. It’s gotta be exhausting ignoring all the signs and constantly having to reassure yourself. So stop doing it and put a fucking mask on. Embrace reality and stop cowering in the dark.

Almost every man I've known with frontotemporal dementia has gone through a stage of not being able to control what they're saying to women.

The people wearing masks and talking about covid in 2026, are annoying to people with insecurities.
