This is what happens when you run on a faux progressive platform to win votes but disregard those values once elected. Eshana has lost the trust of many progressive groups on campus, including the SJC and Pride.

UBC students will be voting yes/no for the uncontested AMS VP External candidate, who said the VPD increase in funding does not concern her. And she is ignorant of the concerns of Indigenous and radicalized UBC Vancouver students:

My heart aches for Kyle Sohn's family. I am so horrified and disappointed to hear that UBC , and I echo the calls for UBC SHCS / Safety and Risk Services to review its internal policies and procedures around emergency response.

Tong says this does not concern her. When asked, she said she has not heard about concerns Indigenous and other racialized students have with increased police funding.

I can't recall the last time I witnessed such a ridiculous violation of basic integrity and democratic processes set in place to deal with the governance of over $700,000 in student fees. The SLFS Leadership, old and new, should look up some basic principles on good governance.
