She nails it: It's not left/right - it's top/bottom. The top 10% control everything and see the bottom 90% as "resources" to consume. They control your income and your jobs... and the government.

@OldBearX1 @BrockRiddickIFB I have an edge here as I've flown small aircraft. :) The equivalent problem is "Your airplane is on sand... can you take off?" And the answer is "Yes... as long as the wheels aren't sinking into the sand and resisting forward movement."

@TheoWerewolf @BrockRiddickIFB I wasn’t thinking of it as torque, but you’re right. It would nosebomb off the front of the treadmill. It’s a weirdly counterintuitive problem.

@OldBearX1 @BrockRiddickIFB Actually, the plane will lurch forwards and off the treadmill. It doesn't actually use the wheels for forward movement. If it has enough room and a flat enough surface AFTER that, it will take off. :)

@BrockRiddickIFB No. There must be airflow over the wings to generate lift. There will be some just because the engines are going and moving air, but nowhere near enough to create the pressures required to lift the plane. The wheels will spin pretty fast, though.

The most frustrating thing about Trump winning is that all the people on my side will now spend the next four years complaining how stupid everyone who voted for Trump is... while never admitting that it was our side who failed at selling our view to them.

I have to admit it... @DCOfficial 's Absolute Universe thing works. The new characters are 'sort of' the old ones, but different without disrespecting the originals. And we still have the originals (more or less) at the same time.

BTW, anyone worried that Trump might get a constitutional amendment through that repeals the 'two term' limit needs to know that would take 2/3s of the House AND the Senate AND 3/4s of all states ratifying.
And 20 states went blue, so no way they'll get 3/4 of the states.

For what it's worth, if we survive the next four years, Trump cannot run for prez again, and at some level, I think the US might need the good slap in the face that four years of him might give.

@mrjamesob Your last caller today is categorically wrong. There is no legal or constitutional requirement that a president served in the military.
He's getting confused by Article II Section 2 which states that the President is the Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy.

So.. to be clear... the reason Musk's Giveaway isn't illegal (ie: isn't a lottery) is because it's rigged and the prizes are going to preplanned recipients not chosen by random chance.
