Official treatment is done. I had my 35th Radiation treatment today. Now the slow process of healing can begin. I have lost a lot of weight but did not need a feeding tube. My taste is 95% gone and am daily pain(throat) even with heavy meds. My recovery will be slow. They told me to expect 6-8 weeks before I start feeling better, with probably 2-3 more weeks of throat pain. Taste is the last to come back with up to 3-6 months before that comes back. I would like to thank the many people who have stood by my side, supported my family, and have kept me and my family in prayer. It has been a very tough, as I was not able to teach for the last six weeks of school, my son is graduating high school/college, and my care has been intense. I had all my treatment out of town, which added many hours of travel. All the positive thoughts, prayers, and heartfelt comments/actions have made a difference. I am now going to focus on a slow recovery at home and dream of when I can taste real food again.

During that era, he was coached and developed by Hans Ooft, a Dutch coach who had a huge influence on Japanese football. And Moriyasu said it was not only him. Many Japanese coaches were influenced by Dutch football, and that helped lead to the development of Japanese football today. He also mentioned Wim Jansen, a Dutch legend. Jansen coached Sanfrecce Hiroshima in the J.League and also worked with Urawa Reds, contributing greatly to Japanese football. Moriyasu said it was not only those two men. Many Dutch coaches and players helped raise the level of Japanese football in Japan. And then he ended with these words: “Thank you very much.” The room applauded. On the pitch, Japan fought the Netherlands with everything they had. But after the final whistle, Moriyasu still remembered the people who helped Japanese football grow. Not just with a casual “good game.” He spoke about the history, the influence, and the gratitude Japan owes to Dutch football. Every time I see this side of Coach Moriyasu, I feel that the strength of Japan’s national team is not only tactics or technique. It is respect. It is gratitude. And it is the heart to never forget those who helped you grow. That is why I respect Hajime Moriyasu so much as a person.

Xbox acquired Compulsion in 2018 Compulsion takes 7 years to make a 9-hour game plagued with all the tropes that gamers hate and NOBODY played it! Not even people on Gamepass played it Just like with Concord, devs need to understand that have to make games FOR GAMERS, not for themselves

That and Capcom has a wider audience. They are on all platforms. That does help. As far as games go they do have hit or miss, but mostly hit. Even on games I don’t care for like monster hunter. As long as they keep a good pace, ask the right price, and optimize properly they will be okay. MSFT and SONY not so much.

Capcom has been living in the same economy and circumstances, and they’ve been called “woke” too at times, yet they’ve been delivering nothing but bangers since 2017. I’d say the reason is that the vision behind their games makes them more fun to play, more engaging, more on point and well-balanced and high quality. That’s what players ultimately want. Meanwhile, you got Sony wanting to be the “Oscar-bait” of gaming and Xbox wanting to be the Walmart of gaming. And neither of those would have done better, not if they put or didn’t put “politics” in games, not if the characters looked attractive or not. They just aren’t making very fun as games and they’re taking forever to deliver.

That's bold, but it really paid off for them in the long run. I totally understand this way of thinking. If your IP is based on 1 developer or a group of developers, and if something happens to them. You are pretty much fucked. I believe that's what happened to Final Fantasy after Hironobu Sakaguchi left Square Soft. Now they have to rebuild the IP and experience bumps along the way. I can only imagine what Platinum Games is going through now that many key players have left the company.
