At @TEDx_Abbotsford, professor @ThorKeith on the alternate vision of settler relations forged in early colonial British Columbia, a more fair one that got lost in successive eras. Can we return to this vision?
My guess is that mass shootings and cop shootings of black men would decline -- and no one could say the 2nd amendment was compromised.
#pinkunicorngun
Under this law, anyone caught in public with an assault rifle or hand gun (or caught posting a picture of themselves with such a gun on social media) that wasn't pink and emblazoned with a rainbow unicorn would have that weapon confiscated and destroyed.
How about a law that requires all assault rifles and hand guns (police weapons included) to be painted neon pink with sparkles, and each one has to have a rainbow unicorn sticker on the stock/handle?
Watching the news of yet another mass shooting in America, and also another police officer shooting a young black boy. If the gov there cannot or will not ban assault rifles and hand guns, how about a law that strip such guns of their power as symbols of toxic masculinity?
Congratulations to USask History PhD candidate @ColinOsmond who successfully defended his dissertation last week!
