But a few time per year @MidAmericaHeart we see clearly obstructive CAD on PET or CCTA despite CAC 0. Younger patients + diabetics = ⬆️ risk for non calcified obstructive plaque.

@AllisonGHaysMD @krishnapatel888 @cshen A CACS is an easily understood metric by patients, much easier than concepts like CT-FFR, MBFR, and perfusion defects. It should encourage symptomatic pts referred for MPI to seek out facilities using hybrid devices.

Perhaps the CAC and PET have their application in specific groups of pts. #circImgJC

@AllisonGHaysMD We routinely acquire information about CAC in pts referred for SPECT or PET MPI to inform about diagnosis as well as modify treatments. This study for first time addresses added value of CAC to RF, MPI, and blood flow
