Born and raised in Brooklyn, Dean is self-taught, driven by instinct and imagination. His sculptures have shown at the American Visionary Art Museum and Summertime Gallery — but his work remains deeply personal, shaped by curiosity.

Dean Millien has spent years building a world of animals from materials most of us throw away. Foil, wire, takeout trays — in Dean’s hands, they become shimmering crocodiles, gorillas, and cats, full of life and beauty.
