Hello everypony! 🌈🎠 Here is the ##VOTD: "For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death." [2 Corinthians 7:10 NLT] ❤️ Godly sorrow is used only here, in 2 Corinthians 7:10, but the idea of and feeling of Godly sorrow is seen many times throughout the Bible. To feel Godly sorrow, which is good and life giving, means to be wrought with sadness over our sins leading us to repentance. It means that we acknowledge the pain sin brings, pray for forgiveness, and turn from the sin. 🧡 That is why Paul says here that this kind of sorrow leads to salvation, for it points up to the grace we need, and to accept Christ and His forgiveness. It is only faith in Christ that can save us, but Godly sorrow over our sin leads to us acknowledging how much we need that salvation. 💛 Feeling Godly sorrow also reminds us in the future of the way that sin affected us, and helps us to avoid committing it again. We can remember the way we were brought to disgust and distress, and then the way in which the Lord covered us in His blood, grace, mercy, and forgiveness. To feel this kind of sorrow is good, for we mourn the pain we cause to our Heavenly Father and Shepherd. 💚 There are other times in which we will suffer not at the hands of our own sin, but at the hands of circumstance or the actions of others. In these moments we can rejoice in the Lord, look to learn, and accept it gladly as a means of growing in our faith. For in all suffering, if we trust in the Lord, there is something we can gain. 💙 Endurance of hardships, too, builds character and faith and secure hope in our salvation! So whether we are wailing to the Lord for forgiveness in grief, struggling because of something someone else has done, or falling under the grasp of a season of sadness, we can turn to God and know His hand is extended. 💜 Christ paid for our sins, all at once and once for all. You are forgiven, if you so seek Him for that forgiveness. Turn to Him and He will not hide His face from you. Repent when you are grieved, and ask for forgiveness and awareness of the sins you commit without knowing. 🌈 God's grace and mercy are abundant, and so long as we do not take advantage of it, He yearns to bask us in it—and always will that be the case. There is no sin, big or small, knowing or unknowing, that can take His offered grace and mercy. Never let anyone tell you you are too far gone.

Grateful for all the hard things and the loss that draw me closer to the Lord day by day.

If a woman checks on your day, asks how you slept, texts first, and makes sure you're okay that's not random. That's intention. That's care. That's someone choosing you in the quiet moments. Don't overlook consistency chasing excitement. Women who love like that are rare and usually taken for granted.
