Dit is een bijzondere interpretatie, waarbij treatment en controle groep omgedraaid worden. De experimentele treatment was regelvrije bijstand en de prior was dat dit beter zou zijn. Na slecht uitgevoerde experimenten met te weinig deelnemers geldt niet de omgekeerde conclusie.

We identified causal effects using an instrumental variable design (judge IV design). Caseworkers deciding on sanctions vary in their strictness; cases are randomly assigned to caseworkers. (4/5)
