Is Top Thrill 2 Open?

YES YES YES After lots of rain, rollbacks and empty trains, I’m happy to announce that its about damn time. Third train of the day for me, not as good as first train, front row from last year, but I can’t be more pumped for the season!

Not until next year… Finished the night with the final train of the season and I want to profusely thank the staff of TT2 and moreover of Cedar Point. Often selfless, underpaid and overworked, the individuals we have encountered have been the number one reason for our continued returns. I want to shoutout all of the associates on TT2. Specifically Mathias, Jai and Lourdes have been amazing in leading their team all year. To the associates like Orlando, Titus, Henry, Rayon, Aof, Pofaii, Cob, Dame, Nico, Mark S, Blake, Saheen, Aneesa, Brynleigh, Karla, Ralph and all the others, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I am so glad that a bulk of you got to have one final ride together, and it was particularly special to watch you guys from the bleachers for one last ride. Finally, to the rest of the Cedar Point employees, foods, rides, games, maintenance or animations, thank you for continuing to bring the magic to out slice of paradise in Northeast Ohio.

Took a seat in the bleachers for once, and realized its far more prevalent than I realize. June 30th is dated. As well as August 12th, 17th, 25th. One week intervals. On the right side of the bleachers.

@TopThrillStatus Went 2 weeks ago on September 5th and had a walk on and a sunset ride and have 7 total rides this summer. Ops have been phenomenal.

Finally. The gate:

…Last week, the sound zone around and in TT2 was playing the Backbeat sound zone. Songs around that area are typically Rock etc, but were specifically themed to Halloween. (Think: I Put a Spell on You by Screaming Jay Hawkings, Ghost Town by the Specials.) The change of music was definitely welcomed, as the TT2 music is rather tedious and pedantic. This change was not kept through this week, which is an odd technical point of interest…

Yes!! — Absolutely spoiled with way TT2 has been running for the latter part of the summer… Halloweekends have operationally been phenomenal all things considered. Some observations I’ve made while I’ve been on a X hiatus over the past few months…

Day 1 of our Coaster Road Trip complete! Went into yesterday with a mindest that bottom tier parks would give bottom tier experiences but was I wrong… Silver Comet is a hidden gem, a great ride experience all around. Seabreeze is in a beautiful setting and very reminiscent of Waldemeer. Darien Lake is still Darien Lake, but tbh I find Darien Lake to be criminally underrated… It is a busy park on a weekend and the rides are actually decent. Plus Darien gets a 2+ on Cedar Point for having a functional (barely) SkyCoaster (the best ride ever conceived) and a Fascination Parlor. Leaving Rochester for Day 2! Have a great weekend!!!

Sorry… I’m terrible with ride names… They have a Schwarzkopf Shuttle Loop in pieces in the parking lot. After looking at pictures of Revolution from GreatAm, it does in fact appear to be the same ride now locates at Niagara. Unless somebody painted the Niagara Huss Frisbree the exact same design.

It will be a sad day if it does close… Silver Comet is an absolute blast… The level of jank this park brings piques every enthusiast nerve in my body. From overspeeding through unload brakes on The Serpent to the terrifying life action clown in the kidde area… We loved Niagara Amusement Park.

@Coasters_n_Cons @TopThrillStatus @TechyCatArtist Same I grew up going there. I have 2 small kids and I joke with my wife I just need it to last 5 more years. Every year the last day of the season I get a ride on silver comet just in case. I want it to survive but I don’t think the funds/ demand is there.
