🇩🇪 Big news – the German government has approved a super-militaristic state budget for 2027, within which the pure defense budget is set at 105.8 billion euros, to which will be added the 27.5 billion euros mobilized in the Special Defense Fund as a result of the abolition of the loan lock mechanism, plus 11 billion euros for direct defense budget assistance to Ukraine, as well as indirect defense spending for the modernization of logistics and infrastructure (ports, airfields, highways, bridges) in the amount of 58.2 billion euros, which means that in practice we can say that Germany will spend more than 200 billion euros on defense and related issues in 2027. Most importantly, this will not be a one-time event, and defense spending will increase exponentially each year, which will also be facilitated by the abolition of the loan lock mechanism and the possibility of mobilizing a potential loan of 500 billion euros in the defense sector, which will significantly increase the net defense budget and may even reach 300-350 billion euros annually in the next 3-5 years. 🇱🇻🇪🇪 Residents of several regions of Latvia and Estonia were warned on the morning of May 3 about a possible threat from drones amid Russia's attack on Ukraine. Yesterday, there was rather unusual activity along sections of the Ukraine–Belarus border – on the Belarusian side. We are closely documenting everything and keeping the situation under control. If necessary, we will react. Ukraine is ready to defend its people and its sovereignty. Everyone who is being drawn into any aggressive actions against Ukraine must understand this.

Burning debris and we have to call upon Germany and France. I have much respect for our military. But we as a society and thus our politicians are still behaving naive

True. In 2023/24 and partly 2025 we were looking for the perfect attack drone, only after drones crashed in Poland we ramped up to look for solutions for defensive drones. And with good results. But these private companies. Big datacenters next to private military production, without protection 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ukrainian civilian population is being attacked with missiles and drones on a daily basis by the Russian terrorists. Intelligent services in Germany and the Netherlands are now saying that this could happen in EU and NATO countries in the next 1-5 years. And we are not ready.

Yes now, since 2026. I’ve been talking to military people since the full scale invasion, they saw the threat, but bureaucracy. That’s our military, since this year. How are the companies protected? I think I understand pretty well how things have progressed militarily wise in the NL untill now. And for now I look to Ukraine for solutions

Me? Sorry, I was doing several things at once. My point was: that attack is only 1500 kilometers away from the Netherlands. If we were to be attacked, we would like at these things fly by and wonder what to do. So it would be more efficient to help Ukraine to make sure we don’t get into that situation
