99% of startups fail because they build a solution for a problem that doesn’t exist! Here’s how it happens: 1. They make up a problem in their head 2. They convince themselves everyone has it 3. They build a product to solve it 5. The outcome is obvious ↓ People either do not have this problem at all or the problem is real, but not painful enough to pay for So how do you find real pain? You do not guess it, you need to dig it out: 1. Stats 2. Audits 3. Segmented focus groups, ideally without friends and family cheering for you 4. Customer interviews 5. Market research 6. Deep boring analysis It is slow, boring, and not romantic. But it works. And even that is often not enough. There are still many things that can go wrong. But first, you need to pass the filter that kills most startups: the pain is not strong enough, not expensive enough, or not urgent enough for people to actually pay. If you master this and add a creative approach then CONGRATS, you have a real shot. and only then it's gonna be a time to build! P.S thanks you @sama for this sharp speech
