My "PFD" (aka, personal first descent) on the Middle Ocoee River in southeast Tennessee. It's a "Class III" river, but it does have a couple of Class IV spots on it, depending on flow. This was a real hoot!!

Fellas ... I'll be posting the Tellico, HIwassee, Nantahala, Clear, Nolichucky, Pigeon, French Broad .. in the coming months.. You have the POV of my bow .. but you'll lots of "your" boats.. Pyranha .. in my opinion.. makes the best WW boats on the planet. No one else is close (to me) Me .. I think you run circlea around Waka .. Dagger has become a corporate sellout .. Jackson.. meh, if you've got wide hips maybe .. lol .. Zet makes wet potatos .. Anyway! I cannot believe I am the ONLY one on X publishing whitewater vids from a hard boat .. that is crazy But - I am going to LITTER x with Pyranha videos ... 😉 I sure would appreciate you helping me spread them out as i get them up. We need to grow this community here!!!

Well .. lol ... Ive lived a chunck of my life in and around Orlando .. New Symrna .. panhandle .. lot of my fam is still there .. I just know if it were me? lol .. well .. mushroom clouds arent made by launches .. Of course - I know that is accurate (what you said). I am mostly just expressing amazment at the scale of that insane incident.

@Trail_River_Rec @ItsAlexQuinn I think a lot of people are aware there is a large rocket facility near Orlando. They probably thought they were seeing a launch.

I had paddled it maybe a dozen times in my Tater (inflatable kayak), and maybe as many in my hard boat, but short runs (rails to the tubes) .. this was my first full run, Grumpy's all the way to Private Boater Takeout / Big Creek) Some mild carnage at Tablesaw .. (I swam) .. but all in all, it was an absolutely steller run. That said ... it isnt my favorite river.. in the heat of the summer thr water is actually warm (not good for river parasites) ... over crowded .. etc My "home run" is the Hiwassee .. and my hands down fav river around here is ny FAR the Tellico .. But the Tellico is only in play with good rain .. and the Hiwassee can get pretty boring after youve paddled it 50000 times 🤣🤣🤣🤣 (in 2024 out of 365 days .. i was on the river 200 plus .. that was SUCH a good year .. rain .. and things just working out to get me on the water) Boy .. rambling .. Peace ~

Mad mad mad mad mad mad respect for firemen!!!! They used to call us (cops) "blue canaries" lol ... Because inevitably we are first on scene (normally) .. and cops have a tendancy of running headlong INTO danger feet first .. Sometimes... that doesnt work out so well.. hence .. bluebcanary.. (you known.. canary in the cole mine scenario)

I remember nights exactly like this… Helmet visor melting from the insane heat while fighting a basement fire. Flames blowing through the wall right in front of us. Firefighters run toward what everyone else runs away from. God bless every brother and sister still on the job tonight. 🔥🙏🚒

When i was a kid I wanted to fly fighter jets SO bad .. lol I had just watched Top Gun when I was 15 years old .. so for the next 4 years I drove around with a Fly Navy sticker on my truck.. (yes - you could get your license at 15 in Louisiana .. and I bought my first truck at 15 yo for $1200 .. a 1984 Toyota Pickup) But as the year passed .. I just kept growing .. lol.. getting taller and taller .. For me? The growing pains were not JUST physical .. they also hurt my soul 🤣🤣🤣 .. as i watched myself grow right past those hopes and dreams .. Finally landing at 6'- 5" by my junior year .. and clumsy??? WHAT???!? lmao .. So .. went artillery in the Marine Corps .. ha ha ha ha .. Same / same .. 😆😝🤣

The 77th Annual Highway 50 Wagon Train takes place from May 31 - June 6. Starts in Round Hill Nevada, travels over the Sierra Nevada mountains, ends in Placerville California.
