At the very least, I’m glad something this strange made it into theaters and wasn’t dumped onto streaming. Overall had a very fun time!

When it’s fully leaning into its B-movie shenanigans, it rules! Truly one of the weirdest studio pictures I’ve seen in a while. But it’s also a social commentary, and in that regard it falls so incredibly short of the mark.

This was deeply frustrating to me in that it’s very fun with great production design, creative camerawork, and its plot is even wilder than the trailers let on…
AND YET it has one of the most heavy-handed scripts in recent memory. Extremely weak emotional storytelling.

The Napa Boys is probably good (haven't seen it, not in any FL theaters) but what's really good about it is how insane the press run for the movie has been. The Napa Boys is doing to film press what Watchmen did to comics. The Pet Sounds of movie press runs.
