Our fish are being taken and our freezers aren’t getting filled. Alaskans want to stop factory trawling from wrecking our fisheries, but DC people and their corporate donors are standing in the way. We can’t save our fisheries until we fix this rigged system.

The majority of halibut is killed, not consumed. One of our most important fish is constantly getting caught up in bycatch from factory trawlers. At least half of what’s thrown over doesn’t survive. How can anyone think this is sustainable?

We don’t need more studies to tell us what’s happening in front of our eyes. Our fisheries are collapsing. Our fish are dying in droves because of factory trawling and bycatch. It's leaving our tables and freezers empty.
Alaskans need brave leadership ready to take this on now.
