A simple communication layer that strengthens how we move through conflict: Observe Without Judgement Describe what actually happened without adding labels or assumptions. Clarity reduces unnecessary escalation. Example: "The proposal was posted three days ago and hasn't received any responses yet." Name the Feeling Express how something impacts you without blame. Ownership builds understanding. Example: "I'm feeling frustrated and a bit discouraged." Connect to the Need Look beneath reactions to the unmet need or value. Most conflict comes from needs, not malice. Example: "I have a need for collaboration and to know that the work is valued." Make a Clear, Respectful Request Ask for something specific without demanding compliance. Invitation works better than pressure in decentralised systems. Example: "Would you be willing to share your thoughts on the proposal by Friday?" The goal is clarity, connection, and repair rather than punishment. 9/15
