As much as I love Morrowind, Gothic 2 is just the best open world RPG game to ever exist, and nothing else is even close.

@gilga10 Gothic 2 DNDR is my favourite singleplayer game of all times. Nothing else comes even close. It's better than 1. But 1 has the more unique setting and background.

Playing Gothic 2 again after Gothic 1 makes You realize how much Better it is. It's bigger (in a good way), has more quests, the quests give you more choice and more consequences. And overall it gives You more Options to Progress. It's Side Systems are also Better

Looking at steam Numbers (peak Players and daily Players in the weeks after release ) Gothic Remake seems to be THQ's Second Most successful game, behind remnant 2, which is the sequel of a pretty good Game. I don't See how we wont get G2 as Long the Sales don't suddenly Stop.

@mrpyo1 Agree. Even if you buy one, the games won't be significantly better as the majority of gamers will stay with PS5 and XSX for a longer time than in former generations.

@HypeYourGames Höhere Produktionskosten für Games gehen nur auf, wenn der Markt wächst. Und da wird die Demographie zum Problem. In den westlichen Märkten kommen immer weniger junge Kunden nach. Das kannst am anderen Ende nicht mehr kompensieren. Auf Dauer wird das noch viel dramatischer.

Massenentlassungen seit Jahren Hardware-Preise drehen durch Budgets für Spiele sind am explodieren Diese Industrie ist kurz vor dem Kollaps.

@ZakkenKloot It won't get any better anytime soon. A next gen console will be even more expensive. The hardware base will be smaller and grow slower than this gen. But to take advantage of those new consoles game development will be more expensive. More mass layoffs incoming.

Exclusives or not, there are not gonna be any more Xbox’s sold. They should be content with the 35 Million Series X|S’s out there and monetize that playerbase for the rest of this gen.

@LotuSan Sehe nichts, was daran etwas ändern könnte. Im Vergleich zu dem, was gerade in KI investiert wird, ist der Gaming Markt einfach komplett irrelevant. Da steht 2026 ein 400 Mrd. Markt Investition 2,5 Billionen gegenüber. Das sind aktuell einfach ganz andere Welten.

Es ist ein Trauerspiel. Nicht nur bei Xbox, es ist ein Industrie-weites Problem und wenn das nicht in den Griff bekommen wird (nur wie?) sehe ich extrem schwarz für die nächste Generation. Es braucht neue Ideen!

@TrueTrueCore @MauriceWeber42 Ja ne es werden ja nicht alle tattoo Shops etc exklusiv sein sondern halt besondere. Außerdem wenn die nicht bereit sind 20€ mehr zu investieren die man jetzt auch nicht sparen kann bis es rauskommt dann ist man selbst schuld und darf sich nicht beschweren.

GTA 6 kostet 80€ für die normale und 100€ für die Ultimate Edition - so weit, so erwartet. Bemerkenswerter: Zum Start gibt's wohl "nur" den Singleplayer, kein Online und damit auch kein Rollenspiel. Und: Die Ultimate Edition hat exklusive Friseure, Auto-Werkstätten und Shops.

@_Tom_Henderson_ I don't even use customisation options a lot if they are implemented at no extra cost. Boring. In most cases the basic character fits a game's world best anyways.
