U.S. organizers had estimated that the first two rounds of No Kings rallies drew more than 5 million people in June and 7 million in October. NEW: Tulane University police fatally shoot man who allegedly shot two people on campus On Thursday outside Tulane Medical School in New Orleans, 38-year-old Lafimmas Leevon Haynes shot and critically wounded two people. A male Tulane University Police officer approached Haynes and a struggle ensued. Bodycam and bystander video shows Haynes reaching for the officer’s gun. A female TUPD officer then fired three shots, fatally striking Haynes. A gun was recovered at the scene. Haynes’ family is demanding answers, with relatives questioning why officers did not use a taser instead of deadly force and calling for the female officer to lose her job. The NOPD Force Investigation Team is reviewing the incident.
