I’m deeply saddened to announce the passing of my father, Al Sharpton, Sr. Our relationship was complicated, but he was still my father. Over the past 18 years, I was able to work through my pain and feelings of abandonment, and we built a relationship that meant a lot to me. Born and raised in Jim Crow Florida, he later came to NYC and became a successful entrepreneur. Though his weaknesses may have cost him, he instilled in my sister and me (and later our other siblings) a mentality of independence and self-pride. I've learned from my own mistakes and from his. May my Daddy rest in peace.

He's on his way back to school for his sophomore year! My beloved grandson. 😍 Keeping him in prayer as he goes for his next 30 credit hours!! 📓📚❤️

After 33 years of unwavering friendship and two amazing kids, I’m incredibly proud of this man and our blended family. This week has exceeded all my expectations. I’m excited to spend the next 74 days working hard to help Doug and Kamala win this November! 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️

I’m grateful to have spent a loving, leisurely Sunday at R5 Estates with my daughter and her family. These roses from my son-in-law are a treasure. 😌
