Update on the tragic shooting at an unsanctioned “Sunday Funday” party at Arcadia Lake in Edmond, Oklahoma on May 3. What started as an argument between two women escalated into a gang-related clash. Over 80 rounds were fired from multiple weapons. 18-year-old high school senior Avianna Smith-Gray was killed. 22 others were injured (including 6 juveniles as young as 15) by gunshots, grazes, and shrapnel. 18-year-old Jaylan (Amhad) Davis from OKC has turned himself in. He’s been charged with first-degree felony murder (bond $1M). Police say multiple shooters were involved - at least one suspect still at large. Davis has prior juvenile record for firearms and robbery and is reportedly tied to the North Highland Piru (Bloods) gang. This was a promoted social media party with ~100 young people. Edmond PD was already responding to noise complaints when the gunfire started. ATF and FBI are assisting. Full investigation ongoing.
