I've always wondered if XGD was worth it? There is no water movement between the laterals. I know that's not how water moves necessarily. Anyone have an opinion on cost versus benefit?

@USGAGrnSection Perfect bunkers were never the intention of how the game was to be played. TV dictates what we as Superintendents have to deal with now. It makes it extremely difficult for lower budget facilities to live up to today’s expectations.

Sand depth has a big impact on bunker playability and performance, but how do you know what the right depth is for your bunkers?

@chuck_stccc I used it this spring but normally used a garden. My thoughts are that’s the channel where the most sand gets in and has a better growing medium than what’s beside it. Same as a typical aerification hole that’s healed over. The benefit is better surface drainage.

So. We use a vc60 to vertical mow greens in spring and have done so for 3 years now. I have been asked why these lines from early April this year are still visible. I wonder if it's preferential flow? Thoughts turf Twitter?
