Today, I spoke with His Highness Sheikh @MohamedBinZayed. I offered my deepest condolences on the casualties and destruction the UAE and its people have suffered under Iran’s strikes. Finland condemns Iran’s unjustifiable and indiscriminate strikes to UAE and the whole region. We stand with our friends. We discussed also the situation of the Finnish nationals in the UAE. Our authorities are coordinating closely.

The situation in the Middle East continues to spiral. Finland condemns Iran’s unjustifiable and indiscriminate strikes on the countries in the region. Even those who were working towards a diplomatic solution are now being targeted. The strikes must stop. Civilian lives must be protected across the region.

Today in Abu Dhabi I met with Finnish President Alexander Stubb (@alexstubb) for talks aimed at strengthening collaboration in areas that support our shared development goals, particularly trade, education, space, technology, and innovation. As we mark 50 years of diplomatic relations between the UAE and Finland, we remain focused on fostering mutual progress for our nations and peoples while promoting global stability and growth.

The Embassy organized a reception on the occasion of the Presidential visit of Dr. Alexander Stubb. We were honored by the presence of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, which highlighted the excellent relations between our two nations.
