Reminder: Call for Papers for the AWS 2026 Colloquy is due September 30. Send your 250 word abstract and 100 word bio to awscolloquy@gmail.com on the topic of "Roots, Exile and Migration" in Weil's thought. The conference will be at Texas A&M April 23-25 2026.

The AWS will be hosting a virtual Simone Weil reading group this coming school year. We will read four different works drawn from Weil's writings on literature, politics, and spirituality and we would love for all Weil enthusiasts to join us: simoneweilsociety.org/events . 🧵

I'm rereading Nadler's latest book on Spinoza right now. Obviously it's an introductory, popular work. But as far as accessible introductions to Spinoza's ideas go, this is easily one of the most credible and engaging.
