How is technology shaping your life? This week at #CPD59 in New York, leaders, civil society and youth are tackling urgent population issues, with tech at the centre. We asked young people how AI and digital tools can help build the future they want. What are your thoughts?

UNFPA RD @BauerFlorence has wrapped up a wonderful three-day visit to Georgia, where she connected with key partners, including gov't & CSOs. UNFPA stays committed to supporting Georgia’s goals - promoting inclusive development, social cohesion, human rights, and empowering youth

Together, they explored important sites and celebrated the remarkable women who’ve shaped Georgia’s history and continue to inspire change today. This journey through time reminds us that the pursuit of equality is a shared and ongoing adventure!

Within her Georgia visit UNFPA RD @BauerFlorence welcomed the diplomatic corps for an inspiring walking tour through Old Tbilisi, shining a light on the city’s rich feminist heritage.

At the meeting with Deputy Education Minister Baia Kvitsiani, UNFPA RD @BauerFlorence highlighted a vital role of the Education Ministry in advancing shared priorities such as youth empowerment, comprehensive sexuality education, and gender equality.

She also emphasized how UNFPA values working with national partners to ensure everyone benefits from inclusive & rights-based programs in areas like population dynamics, reproductive health, and gender equality.

Regional Director @BauerFlorence shared UNFPA’s ongoing support for the country’s development goals with Deputy Foreign Minister Lasha Darsalia, counting on building strong partnerships for Georgia’s future.

Standing together with resilience & unity is the best way to overcome obstacles. Looking ahead to the new CPD with its focus on SRHR, gender equality, population and development we’re excited to continue our journey together!

UNFPA RD @BauerFlorence met with women’s rights defenders & CSOs from Tbilisi & beyond. Together, we celebrate the crucial role our civil society partners play in fulfilling UNFPA’s mission - key to the progress we’ve achieved so far.

For UNFPA, demographic resilience is key for moving beyond a narrow focus on population numbers to a holistic, human rights-based approach to population dynamics.

She also emphasized the importance of demographic resilience, inviting the minister to the 2nd Regional Ministerial Conference in Skopje on 7-8 May.

During her visit to Georgia, @BauerFlorence is meeting with key partners - including gov’t. She advocated for integration of SRH priorities into the healthcare reform agenda with Health Minister Mikheil Sarjveladze.

Together with Ecobrands, UNFPA Georgia is strengthening partnerships to support survivors through valuable initiatives. This new collaboration shows what we can achieve when we work together for a better, safer future for women, girls, and children.

Everyone deserves to live a safe, dignified life free from violence & discrimination. During her visit to Georgia, RD @BauerFlorence connected with inspiring gender-based violence survivors at a shelter led by the Anti-Violence Network of Georgia (AVNG).

We’re proud to support the power of art in sharing important stories of women and girls. Through its honest and moving storytelling, the play sheds light on themes of resilience, transformation, and the journey of reclaiming one’s identity.

Our RD @BauerFlorence attended UNFPA-supported play by a female director based on a myth of Persephone  & met the amazing team behind it! This thought-provoking performance opens conversations about how childhood experiences shape who we become.

Since 2019, UNFPA has been championing healthy & active ageing in Georgia through its municipal 60+ clubs. Population ageing is a defining trend of our time, and these clubs are vital.

We’re excited to announce that UNFPA RD @BauerFlorence joined us for the opening of our 5th "60+ club" in Digomi! Healthy ageing means older persons can continue contributing to their families, communities & societies.
