On 8-15 April 2026, 9 died in Marcos’s drug war. 4 of 9 victims were killed in NegOcc: 3 HVIs and a police officer w/no known drug ties killed during a buybust. In MagSur, a civilian, active in anti-drug ops, was shot by unidentified assailants. Sources: dahas.upd.edu.ph/2026-sources

📢 TWSC WFH ON APRIL 20 Pursuant to Memorandum No. OD-RLR 2026-02 of the UP College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, the UP Third World Studies Center will adopt a work-from-home setup on Monday, April 20, 2026. All in-person transactions will resume the following day.

The TWSC Volunteer-Internship Program is a non-salaried program and does not guarantee future employment in the Center. Submit your application documents to twsc.updiliman@up.edu.ph on or before April 22, 2026, 12 noon.

The volunteer-interns' work will involve collecting and encoding pertinent data from news articles and various social media posts, organizing the Dahas Project database accordingly, as well as transcribing interviews conducted by the researchers.
