Upminster Vets FC Over 45’s

Upminster Vets’ winless run continues as they slip to a 2-1 home defeat. Bobby Mack slotted home on 15 minutes to see the hosts lead at the break, but two very early second half goals saw Parms take the points. U’s will again ruse missed chances, but we will go again next week ⚽️

An under strength Upminster fall to defeat at Ongar. U’s found themselves undeservedly three goals down just after the break, but made a spirited comeback with goals from Clark; May and Bartlett saw them level the game 3-3, however Ongar scored two late goals to take the spoils.

Upminster Vets’ losing run continues as they are thumped 6-2 by a very useful Rouge 45’s. U’s were 4-0 down at the break, but a battling second half with goals from Dan Salter and Kev Clark saw the hosts draw the second period 2-2 for a slight moral victory. We go again next week

Upminster Vets fall to a second defeat in a row going down 4-2 at home to league leaders Parminter Sports. Pete Marney’s penalty got Upminster level, but the visitors scored three second half goals before a superb Mark Lord free kick reduced the deficit, but it wasn’t enough.

Upminster Vets’ unbeaten start to the season comes to an end with Met Police coming from behind to take the points with a 3-2 win. Goals from Pete Marney and Simon May put U’s 2-1 up at half time, but Upminster wasted chances which proved costly. We go again next week. ⚽️⚽️🍺🍺

Last weekend also saw recently retired manager Steve Foster presented with an award in recognition of his 28 years as manager of Upminster Vets FC. Thank you gaffer, you are a true legend of Vets football and your service for Upminster Vets has been incredible. 👏👏👏👏👏⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

Congratulations to Pete Marney who was presented with the Upminster Vets Player of the Year award for the 2022/2024 season. Pete was presented with the award by recently retired manager Steve Foster. Well done Pete, very well deserved for an outstanding season. ⚽️👏👏👏👏

Upminster maintain their unbeaten start to the season with an emphatic 7-0 win. A Steve Mack brace and one each from Pete Marney; Sof Sardi; Mark Mills; Marco Guarnieri and Bobby Mack complete the rout.

Upminster Vets host White Roding Vets at the Emerson Park Academy in the @EssexVetsLeague O45’s Div 1 West. U’s will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season before heading back to the @TheFatlingPub for the superb post match hospitality. Go well lads. ⚽️🍺

The Spoils are shared in an entertaining 2-2 draw against Bishops Stortford. The visitors took the lead before Pete Marney levelled just before the break and U’s took the lead through Kev Clark, only to be pegged back less than a minute later. U’s remain top of the table though.
