@UroRobot @veerukasi @TheLancetOncol True but in all honesty; do these patients ever recover SATISFACTORY sexual function (not just IIEF scores), in my experience a lot give up after a year or two; can't ejaculate, often can't orgasm, and often need to variety of paraphernalia to achieve something like an erection

Effect of NeuroSAFE-guided RARP versus standard RARP on erectile function and urinary continence in patients with localised prostate cancer (NeuroSAFE PROOF out on Lancet Oncology thelancet.com/journals/lanon… The NeuroSAFE PROOF trial evaluated the impact of NeuroSAFE-guided robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) on erectile function and urinary continence in patients with non-metastatic #ProstateCancer . NeuroSAFE, which uses real-time frozen section analysis to guide nerve-sparing decisions, was compared with standard RARP across five UK hospitals. In this randomized, patient-blinded phase 3 trial, 381 patients were included, with follow-up at 12 months. The study found that NeuroSAFE-guided RARP significantly improved erectile function (mean IIEF-5 score difference of 3.18) and early urinary continence recovery compared to standard RARP.
