The entire marketing of Embraer aside, however, I am sorry, but I am not confident about any supply chain that has American building blocks (read it as roadblocks). But that is just me. C295 flying on PWC Engines is a threat too. However with Allison etc available in segment, they wont risk the future.

@sneheshphilip This shows the USA knows they can't manage multiple Oceans because of declining power it's great for india we can openly dominate the Indian Ocean without the USA interfering, having the USA in IO is dangerous especially because of their love for slave Pakistan

Many in Indian strategic community will feel scared or apprehensive about this twist. I would see it as reflection on limits of American power. India has to step up and be responsible for the seas and oceans around without US. Israel, Iranian people, NATO, Ukraine are examples to learn from. And China? Can be managed. Invest in overall securitisation of region. Develop Andamans and Lakshdweep as financially self sustainable hubs on which military bases build upon and not other way round.

Tejas mk1a is very close to delivery and will be deployed at forward bases straight away, Mk1a will face J-10c in next conflict- Mk1a with lower RCS have an advantage of track first and shoot first with astra mk1(160km) against PAF J-10c + PL-15E(145km)!

If a company is planning upgrades at home while offering an assembly line abroad, policymakers should ask: are we acquiring cutting-edge manufacturing capability, or paying to absorb machinery and processes that are nearing the end of their technological relevance?
