80% of the time I will usually prefer a character who's an asshole over a wholesome one simply because they're more entertaining ex. Wario > Mario, Falco > Slippy, Donald Duck > Mickey Mouse, Squidward > Spongebob, King K Rool > Bowser (who can be nice)

@SuperMarioFact @MarioWikiDepths my theory is that 64 takes place pre galaxy and 64 DS takes place post galaxy, galaxy resets the universe but everyone remembers what happened in the last universe, so almost the same events can happen again in the new universe cause it's a new one, so that's 64 DS for 64

In the DS remake, Koopa the Quick appears to recognize Mario, as opposed to having to introduce himself like in the original game. Koopa the Quick instead holds his races to help Mario lose weight.
