How many maps do people really need? What's the magic number? 8? 10? 20? Ain't one that keeps everyone happy forever. Tarkov runs strong with about 10-11 maps. Hunt: Showdown built its loyal crowd on just 4 for years. Quality maps that feel different and reward smart play beat dumping a ton of meh ones. Skins and new weapons? Nice for cash and quick hype, but they don't keep folks playing if the core loop gets stale. Look at COD/Warzone, they chased endless content, ended up with ridiculous guns they can't balance and stupid clown skins. Player numbers dropped hard in 2025 from all that fatigue and bloat. Sweats will bounce when they get bored, but the real Raiders who enjoy the looting and PVE? They'll stick around.

I've seen talk about Arc Raiders playercounts dropping significantly since launch. It's a really fun game, but the devs only have themselves to blame. You NEED to be updating your game with new maps, guns, modes and skins if you want players to return and they haven't done that.🤷‍♀️ DO BETTER and your players will stick around. Otherwise, there's millions of other experiences to choose from.
