@MNCDover You can earn in-game currency for free. The issue is playing against the $10 cards for a month. You'll have to beat those cards in order to earn in-game currency.
I think they will be forced to change this system because there's simply too much backlash. It's not a great move.

@MNCDover Basically, they announced that all new cards will be gated behind a $10 paywall. After 1 month, these cards will be purchasable with in-game currency.
The general complaint is that these cards will either be good (pay-to-win), or bad (diluting your card pool).

Is anyone a DaVinci Resolve audio wiz?! I have no sound from Davinci. clip has sound outside of davinci. track is not muted. wave is present, meter does not move tho!! preferences output is correct. Davinci does not show under applications in my volume mixer. pls help😭

@Pluidom If they were placeholders, you would kind of expect them to disclose that. It's pretty standard to include text along the lines of "art does not represent final product."
At this point, I fully expect Riot to bend over backwards and pretend it was all placeholder to begin with.

@Joeda89 Technically you can still play, but they're only updating Path of Champions moving forward. They made the announcement back in January and it led to a lot of people leaving the game.

This is a corporation that expects us to take the lore of their fictional universe seriously.
At the same time, they sell us card art with sloppily retconned creatures, locations, and character abilities.

Before I properly rant about this, using art of (mainly) LoR is already one can of worms. Changing the names of LoR spells to LoL abilities? Ok I guess. Whatever. But why in the world are some LoR unit/LM names different? There's a reason why they were named the way they were??

This game is a thinly veiled attempt to make up for the marginally small loss Riot took on LoR.
If billion dollar corporation wanted to sell me a new product, it could have at least bothered to commission new art. This is just a spineless cashgrab.

@frozenthrall It truly looks like a throwaway TCG made for kids. It's comparable to the cheap toys you buy at the end of a Disneyland ride.
This is not Riot's attempt at a geniunely good TCG. That's what LoR was. They're just trying to grab any money they can as you're getting off the ride.

This is my favorite deck right now.
It may look boring, but there are so many goofy combos you can pull off with Aphelios' weapons, Sacrificial Scholar, Yasuo striking with stuns, and the Dragon equipment...it's just a great time.
Do yourself a favor and give it a try! 😄
