The fact that you can randomly search for "Dominos" and return 51 accredited employers is a massive counter to Erica's claims. These entities have fast track employment visa privileges and they aren't hiring scientists. x.com/EricaStanfordM…

The visa created for the Indian free trade deal, predominantly for highly skilled green-list workers, will not allow for partners or children. I have immense respect for Mr Peters but I want to be clear that what he claimed in his state of the nation speech is incorrect.

As does Sovereign: "To eliminate agency and official non-compliance, the Ombudsman's findings will be legally binding. For egregious or repeated breaches, the Ombudsman will be empowered to seek substantial fines against both agencies and individuals, and refer them for criminal prosecution." sovereign.nz/sovereign-poli…

NZ's Ombudsman has no teeth. The OIA was written to give the semblance of a government watchdog, but they have no power to: 1. Make criminal referrals for deliberate breaches of the Act. 2. Impose any penalties or fines. 3. Order an agency to comply. This needs to change.

With: 1. Social media bans & biometric ID 2. A civilisational-suic*de push for Net Zero 3. Trade deals that result in job competition with foreigners 4. Implementing co-governance in "Water Done Well" How is National considered "centre right"? This term no longer has meaning?

There is much to discuss at Cabinet today. Global instability reinforces the need for sensible economic management to help Kiwis get through this challenge. The Finance Minister @NicolaWillisMP and I will be joined by Associate Energy Minister Shane Jones later today to give you the latest update at our Post Cabinet Press conference.

Oh yes, the infamous mis/dis/mal-information. Like when Jacinda claimed vaccine mandates would "keep covid out of businesses in the first place"? Or when she claimed the vaccinated were "less likely to catch the virus"? Neither supported by the Pfizer clinical trials. What you "learned" about was how to parrot talking points. This is called indoctrination. Ardern also placed a wedge in the NZ society to create, by her own admission, a two-class society. Your support for that cannot be undone by shouting "antivaxxer" - even if you shout really loud with a self-perceived moral superiority from being in the 'upper class'.

@VoteSovereign That actually wasn’t what most of us realized. We did learn about the power of disinformation though.

The Wellington Protest was a turning point for New Zealand. It's when kiwis realised their "kind" PM was actually a soulless ghoul, preying upon the livelihoods of those who did not comply with 'the science'. Now we learn the government failed to disclose myocarditis warnings.

Is it a coincidence that Canada, Australia and New Zealand (while their respective liberal/labour parties were in power) all chose to amend immigration laws to permit HIV-positive immigrants? When NZ's low HIV rate is just a memory, who is accountable? 1news.co.nz/2021/10/29/mig…

A reminder that Labour intentionally divided our society during covid and beyond. And National cheered them on. "New Zealand's vaccine certificates are coming but they're 'far too late' National Party leader Judith Collins says." rnz.co.nz/news/political…

Getting economic management wrong during the Iran conflict will have long-lasting consequences that are difficult to unwind. We saw this in the aftermath of Covid where decisions led to debt reaching $120b and inflation hitting a 32 year high. This saw mortgage rates and other prices skyrocket. Kiwis are still grappling with the effects of that today. National wants to ensure those mistakes are avoided. Responsible economic management matters most when the world is volatile and unpredictable. By fixing the basics in the economy, we have been repairing the post-covid damage done by Labour: - We’ve reined in wasteful spending saving taxpayers $43b to date in unnecessary expenses - This has lowered interest rates, meaning Kiwis’ average mortgage repayments are down by as much as $10,000 - We’ve lowered taxes, and, - Our economy has been growing again, which means exporters and businesses doing well and more job opportunities. Latest data shows 1.1% growth over the last 6 months of 2025 with growth still expected to continue, even with the conflict. Sticking to National’s careful economic plan is how we can best insulate New Zealand and New Zealanders against this global shock and protect New Zealand’s future.
