We’re right in the middle of the summer holidays, and the TV at one of our largest refuges has just stopped working! Lots of our families, especially the newer ones, don’t feel safe outside the refuge. If you have a smart TV you could donate, contact donations@wallaction.org.uk

URGENT APPEAL We have had a young mum arrive in refuge with nothing at all. She has two children aged 2 and 9 months. She desperately needs a pram or pushchair for the 9 month old. She also needs some clothing in size 12/14. If you can help, please email donate@wallaction.org.uk

14th July is the National Day of Remembrance for victims of honour-based abuse. This date was chosen as it marks the birthday of Shafilea Ahmed, who was murdered in Warrington in 2003 by her parents in a so-called ‘honour-based’ killing. We will remember her.

Today we took delivery of this huge food shop, courtesy of the Mothers Union Diocese of Leicester, which has been distributed between three of our refuges, and will be gratefully received by all. Thankyou so much!
