Very much looking forward to pouring and exploring the latest Xperience Collection release from the Speyside-based @GlenMorayDist Glen Moray Forbidden Fruit (40% ABV) was initially matured in Bourbon casks before being finished in French oak casks that were previously used to mature Calvados – France’s historic and famously rich apple brandy. This latest release continues Glen Moray’s journey of cask exploration and follows on from Phoenix Rising and Twisted Vine – tributes to charred oak and Cognac cask maturation, respectively. Not only does Glen Moray continue to produce purposeful and delicious collection and distillery-exclusive releases alongside its excellent and somewhat underrated (imho) core range, it does so at truly phenomenal price points.
