Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Paul began Romans by explaining how Jesus Christ confirmed his own identity as the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead (Romans 1:4). It is through faith in our crucified and risen Savior that we too claim our true identity.

Today we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ — the ultimate source of hope, renewal, and joy. At Wisconsin Lutheran College, our faith guides everything we do, and we rejoice with you in His promise of new life.

On Good Friday, the cross didn’t seem powerful — it looked like defeat. Hope felt distant, and victory seemed impossible. But what looked like the end was God at work all along. ✝️

Maundy comes from the Latin mandatum, meaning command. Jesus washed His disciples’ feet and gave a simple, powerful call: “Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” John 13:34 May His words and actions continue to guide how we love and serve others.

Another Holy Week has come. Our time of grace on earth has an expiration date. It is time to believe in Jesus as Savior and Lord! On the first Palm Sunday, he wept over the city of Jerusalem because of its unbelief (Luke 19:41). May our Lord never weep because of our unbelief!

The apostle Paul in Romans gave both bad and good news. Mankind is truly sinful but God is truly gracious. Jesus Christ came to reconcile mankind to God. The results are truly blessed: “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1).

1974–1975 called … they want their WLC jackets back. Some of the first college-branded apparel. Warriors have been making green and white look good for decades. 💚

When St. Paul concluded Romans, he alluded to Genesis 3:15 that the promised Savior would crush the head of the devil. Because of the work of Jesus, we live in the certainty of Satan’s final defeat: “The God of all peace will soon crush Satan under your feet” (Romans 16:20).
