Year 6 @WakefieldMetSch had a fab time evaluating our tree nursery with Mr Parkinson yesterday. Despite the best efforts of an invasive species 🐿️ lots of our acorns have flourished. Watch out for the facts and figures soon. #primaryscience #handsonscience

Absolutely loved watching this out of the classroom window this lunchtime. Three @WakefieldMetSch year 6 girls running their own cheerleading club. All I did was unwrap the Pom poms 😀 I can’t promise I won’t join in though 😂 #playgroundleaders

Playground science is up and running. Our Science ambassadors @WakefieldMetSch have done a great job in their first week. We can’t wait to expand and develop our ideas. #primaryscience

Year 2 enjoyed taking part in a live science lesson with @NFUEducation as part of science week. It was very interesting learning about, how tractors are connected to space!

Year 2 @WakefieldMetSch loved their history workshop focused on how we lived in the past. Thanks to Mrs Dixon, a time travelling Victorian @WakefieldMuseum for making the workshop so enjoyable. We enjoyed handling Victorian objects and learning about Victorian houses.

Science week got off to a flying start. Y6 loved the BBC Live lesson & then looked at some fabulous texts - but what was the connection? Meanwhile our Y1 children tried to work out why they couldn't fly and then went on to see how birds collect worms - photos to follow. #BSW23

Our @MethodistHouse ambassadors did a brilliant job organising the Pancake Day Races. Lots of determination on show by all the children throughout school and some great encouragement. @WakefieldMetSch
