Last week, our team held our final SEL Lead meeting of the year. Our Leads work closely with our SEB Coaches to grow systemic SEL. While bittersweet, we left the meeting feeling proud, inspired, and optimistic! Thanks to our SEL coaches Leads for all they do. @HayekLindsey

Last week, our team hosted a showcase to support a neighboring school district with growing SEL and counseling practices. The visitors were so appreciative of the conversation, ideas, and resources shared. Thankful for this opportunity! @HayekLindsey @WSFCSCounselors

Hearing educators reflect on Day 1 of Restorative Practices was the perfect way to start my morning—a powerful reminder that this work must continue. One educator shared, “I’m usually in the TO box, and this training reminded me to lead with more grace.” That’s the impact.

@EastonElemWSFCS completed their second session on Trauma Resilience with me, diving into the tough but important topic of Adverse Childhood Experiences and their effect on health and behavior. They are an awesome big-hearted staff! @WSFCSSEL 💙

Saw some awesome things happening at @SouthwestES this week— their food drive and @2ndStepProgram lessons! Students were getting to practice empathy as well as strengthen their emotional intelligence! Keep doing the good work, SWES! @WSFCSSEL 🎉

Some great conversation and reflection going on in 4th grade at @ViennaTigers16 about managing emotions through rethinking! As part of their @2ndStepProgram lesson, they explored how to access calm and logic rather than escalate the problem. Keep it up, Tigers! @WSFCSSEL 🧡🎉

It was a wonderful afternoon with the staff of @MorganElementa2 ! We dove into how to build a connected learning environment through the 3 SEL Signature practices, and how to integrate SEL/Durable skills into academic content. They were full of great ideas! @WSFCSSEL 🎉💙🧡💙

I had a great time facilitating a session with the girls of GLAM (Girls Leadership Awareness and Mentorship) at @TJeffersonMS yesterday! We explored the attributes of healthy friendships (and unhealthy ones) through stations and discussion. It was fun and meaningful! @WSFCSSEL

@wayfinder_edu was in motion during Nest Time at @KonnoakMS this morning! Teachers were diving into discussion with their advisory students to help build these core skills (I spy SEL/Durable Skills!!) Thank you to KMS for continued dedication to SEL! @WSFCSSEL 🎉

I saw two awesome @2ndStepProgram lessons in action today at @ClemmonsES. 5th graders practiced a brain break before they talked about stress, and 2nd graders talked about when they felt proud and disappointed. SEL skill-building on a roll over here! @WSFCSSEL
