🎉 Exciting News Alert! 🎉 We are overjoyed to share that Dr. Daniel De Simon, a PM&R resident at Atrium Carolinas Medical Center, has secured first place in the Annual Trainee Poster Competition at the PSOC! 🏆 His outstanding project, "Dorsal Root Ganglion Stimulation for Saphenous Neuropathy after Vein Harvest," impressed everyone. A special shoutout to Dr. Enrique Galang for being the primary faculty support, and to Drs. Janus Patel, Steven Abriola, and Dan Bintrim for collaborating on this incredible project. Exciting News from the Wake Forest Interventional Pain Team! We’re proud to share that two of our collaborative research submissions have been selected for presentation at the upcoming AAPM&R Annual Assembly—a national stage that highlights the most impactful work in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Podium Presentation – Top Tier Recognition Dr. Galang, Dr. Bintrim, Dr. Patel, Jane Keilitz PA-C, and Emily Deschler MS-2 will be giving an invited podium presentation for their case report: “60-day Peripheral Nerve Stimulation for the Treatment of Cervicogenic Headache and Occipital Neuralgia.” Podium presentations are reserved for the highest-ranking submissions—this is a tremendous honor and a testament to the quality of their work. Poster Presentation – Advancing Innovation Dr. Galang, Dr. Patel, and Emily Deschler MS-2 will also present their work via poster: “60-day Peripheral Nerve Stimulation for the Treatment of Cluneal Neuropathy in a Patient with Multiple Sclerosis.” This presentation continues our mission to push the boundaries of what’s possible in interventional pain medicine.
